There is a popular belief out there that single people have to manipulate the hand of God to find their soul mate. I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Are you ready, God has a pen and he knows how to use it.
The truth is you don’t have to manipulate the hand of God. If you are single God is in the process of writing your love story. Your story will be more successful if you focus first on your relationship with God. That’s the best way to start your love story. You need a foundation rooted in God before you can build a romantic relationship. The truth is lust temporarily satisfies, but you can’t build a lasting foundation on it. A relationship built on lust will eventually crumble. So why not start with the right foundation?
Now is there anything worse than getting advice from someone who has never experienced it for themselves. I remember being single and God asking me, Do you love me for the things I can give you or do you just simply love me? God would whisper into my heart, would you still love me if I didn’t give you the desires of your heart? I got to the point where I loved God more than what He could do for me. God is more than a spiritual santa clause. I began to see God as more than just someone who can give me things. I began to see Him.
I encourage you to use this time to become attractive to God. Let God fill the insecurities of your heart with his presence. Let God fill the void of loneliness in the deepest parts of your heart. Only God can truly satisfy your soul. You can’t make someone else responsible for your happiness. A husband/wife was not meant to be your Jesus. The person your dating can’t be your Jesus. Only Jesus was meant to be your savior. Man can’t complete you. Only Jesus can make you whole.
Choose to see your time as a single person as a gift. I chose to use my time as a single person to really work on me. When I met my husband I wanted him to meet the best possible version of me. You see we attract the level of emotional health that we ourselves possess. The healthier you are emotionally, physically, and spiritually, the healthier your dating pool will be. People can sense insecurity. Low self-esteem is actually very unattractive.
Warning: don’t believe the lies that the devil will tell you while you are single. The devil will whisper things in to your spirit to get you off track.
He will say your not good enough, you’re not attractive, no one can love you, you’re not lovable, you’re not enough, God doesn’t love you enough to give you the desires of your heart, God doesn’t love you. God is mad at you.
These whispers are meant to keep you from letting God be your matchmaker. Use your own voice to defeat the devils attempts to keep you trapped in negativity. You must tell yourself who you are according to the word of God. Your voice is more powerful than the devils deceptive lies. However, you must be willing to use your voice to defeat him. Your voice must become louder than the devils if you are going to win.
You are worthy, you are lovable, you are good enough, you are pretty enough, you are enough!!!!! God does love you. God does want to give you the desires of your heart. God is for you. God is not mad at you.
If you find yourself in this category of life; be a class act single person. Don’t settle out of loneliness when God is in the process of writing your love story. God will say no sometimes to protect you. Sometimes He says no to later say yes. Good things come to those that wait. The waiting process is meant to refine you like gold. Remember everyone’s love story is different. Your love story was not meant to look like everyone else.
Let the matchmaker himself; God write your love story. Keep your eyes on the matchmaker and watch the story unfold. God’s will is the perfect match for you. Thank God when He closes doors for you. There is nothing better than being in the center of God’s will. God can write a much more beautiful story than you could imagine or write on your own. When God writes your love story it will be better than a fairy tale or Hollywood movie. Put the pen down and let Him finish your story. Again, God has a pen and He knows how to use it.
