Happy Hump Day!!! It’s Wednesday and for many of us mom’s it becomes our super busy crazy day. We are balancing school drop off and pick ups, work, homework, household chores, errands, cooking, church, and so much more. For me it is my busiest day of the week. My day starts early and ends late. I find I need extra energy and strength on Wednesdays to endure to the finish line.
A while ago I was telling my twin boys that mama had superpowers. I was actually just joking. However, one of my sons looked up at me and said, no you don’t you have Jesus. It hit me square between the eyes. It was one of those slap your head moments. Yes, I have Jesus. I love that my boys already realize that mama’s source of strength and power comes from Jesus. My boys taught me a powerful lesson that day.
Ladies we can’t do this in our own strength. On our own we will fail. However, through the power of Jesus Christ that flows in and out of us we can and will do all things. The other day I was feeling so drained, completely depleted, overwhelmed by life and extremely exhausted. Can anyone relate to that feeling? I closed my eyes for a rare second and said,” Lord I need you.” In that moment He breathed new life into my heart, body, mind, and spirit. I could feel the presence of God come over me. Those simple four words brought power to my entire being. I was able to finish strong that day. If you seek Him, you will find Him. The more I seek Him, the more I seem to find Him.
Mama’s are superhero’s in disguise. However, you must activate your powers. Get connected to the right source. There are other illusions of power out there, but they won’t get you the same results. Don’t fall into that trap. There is only one true source that can fulfill you. Get the word of God deep down in your soul. Those words printed in the bible are meant to encourage, bless, and empower you to face anything. Jesus died on that cross to give you life. He doesn’t want you to just survive, He wants you to thrive.
Today, I encourage you to say, repeat, and believe, “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 New International Version. Now listen to this same verse in the Message bible:
I have found this recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, Wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. I don’t mean that your help didn’t mean a lot to me-it did. It was a beautiful thing that you came alongside me in my troubles.
Now stay with me here girlfriends. I have a Wednesday Power Challenge for you. I just prayed over one of my girlfriends that she would find strength, renewed energy, and mental endurance today. I texted her and told her I just prayed over her. I didn’t know how her day was going. She responded by saying thank you, because she was feeling so drained today. I challenge you to pray over a girlfriend today. Message them and tell them you prayed for the blessings of God to fall upon them.
Let’s spread and multiply God’s blessings upon mothers and women today. Women who build other women up are very powerful. This is another way to activate your powers. Women who tear down other women only diminish their own worth. Come on I dare you to take my challenge. If you complete my challenge let me know via Facebook or my blog.
Let’s get God’s blessings flowing today. Find someone and encourage them today. Ladies, go win the race today through the power of Jesus Christ!!
